Editorial standards

1. Who writes and checks our pages

The team building Workstride drafts every guide, tool and factual page on this site. Before anything is published, a second person checks it: they re-read every figure, date and clause citation against the source it comes from, and check the page against the status of the build itself.

2. Sources we use

We research from primary sources first: the Inclusive Employment Australia Deed and Guidelines, and pages published by the Department of Social Services and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations. We use secondary sources, such as sector bodies or news coverage, only for context, and we say when we have done so.

We do not republish or lightly reword the Deed or the Guidelines. Where we quote a clause, we quote it exactly and cite it (for example Part A 5.3.1), and we link to the source page where one exists.

3. Checking figures and clauses

Every figure, date, fee and clause citation on this site is checked by a second person against its primary source before publication, and again at each review. A claim about what Workstride does is checked against the build itself, not against an earlier plan or an old summary, and carries a status: In the build, Planned or Waiting on approval.

4. When we review a page again

We do not wait for something to go wrong. We re-check a page whenever any of these happen:

• A new version of the IEA Guidelines is published: we re-check every page that cites it.
• Each 1 July: we check for a replacement Fee Annexure and update fee and rate pages.
• DEWR changes its External Systems Assurance Framework or Third Party Employment System pages: we update our accreditation and switching pages and the glossary.
• Each August or September: we add the next year's public holidays to the pages that use them.

Every guide and tool shows the date its sources were last checked, and the date it was last checked against the build.

5. Corrections

If we find, or are told about, a mistake in something we have published, we fix it promptly. Where the correction changes a figure, date or claim that someone might have relied on, we add a short, dated note saying what changed and why, next to the fix.

6. AI assistance

Drafts may be prepared with AI assistance. Every statement is checked against the Deed, Guidelines or Department pages by a person before publication.

7. Crawlers and AI crawlers

This site publishes a sitemap and a standard robots.txt, and allows well-behaved search engines to crawl it. We also allow AI crawlers and answer engines by name, including GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Applebot-Extended, and we publish an llms.txt summary with our status line, so that anything built from this site starts from the same candid, status-aware wording we use ourselves. The only address we ask crawlers to leave alone is the enquiry form's own handler, which has nothing for a crawler to read.

8. Privacy in our tools

The calculators and practice rounds on this site run in your browser and do not ask for your name, a Job Seeker ID, a CRN or any other personal information. Nothing you type into a tool is sent to us unless you choose to attach a plain-text summary to an enquiry, and you can see exactly what that summary says before you send it.
