Placements and moneyPart 3 of 4
Post Placement and Ongoing Support
Every accepted placement gets a support schedule, and recording a contact sets its stamped note and the next due date.
Workstride is being built for accreditation by DEWR as a Third Party Employment System. It is not yet accredited.
- Schedule
- Every accepted placement gets one, at a frequency you set
- Contact
- Who, the result and the claim week it supports
- Assessment
- Opens an Ongoing Support schedule at the level recommended
What it does
For consultants, Post Placement Support staff and site managers.
The moment a placement is accepted and anchored, it gets a support schedule, at a contact frequency you set for that placement. Recording a contact, with the participant or the employer, the result, and the claim week it supports, writes a stamped note and moves the next due date on.
That contact also shows on the owner's calendar and on My work, so it follows the consultant, not a spreadsheet. In the build
Note
The Guidelines set no minimum contact frequency for Post Placement Support: providers agree a mode of contact and judge what is appropriate (Part B 9.4). The frequency Workstride uses for a placement is your policy, not a Deed rule, so this page does not publish a default figure.

In the product
Every contact is a stamped note: who recorded it, when, and what it says. Notes cannot be edited or deleted, only added to.
-
Your policy
The frequency here is a provider default. Recording a contact moves this date on and clears the matching entry from the owner's calendar.
The Ongoing Support Assessment
You set a due date for the Ongoing Support Assessment before Post Placement Support ends. Recording the recommendation, Flexible, Moderate or High, opens an Ongoing Support schedule at that level from there. In the build
The Department's own systems allocate who carries out the assessment. Workstride tracks the date and the outcome, not the allocation itself.
Caution
The due date you set here is a provider reminder. It is not the same as the Department's own assessment scheduling, which Workstride does not control.

Ongoing Support schedules
Once a level is recommended, Workstride opens a schedule of Ongoing Support periods, with Flexible instances of at least four hours where that level applies.

Contacts and fees are two sides of the same record: the claims page shows the fee your support earns once the minimum for a period is met, with the 28-day rule for recording contacts and instances kept in view (Part B 10.6, Part B 11.7.2). Workstride relies on the quarterly minimum, 6 for Moderate and 12 for High, rather than the Guidelines' printed monthly average, which is inconsistent with it.

Questions about Post Placement and Ongoing Support
Does Workstride set the Post Placement Support contact frequency for us?
No. The Guidelines set no minimum for Post Placement Support, so the frequency is a choice you make for each placement, not a figure Workstride decides or publishes.
What happens if High Ongoing Support contacts fall short some months?
Workstride tracks the quarterly minimum of 12 contacts, the figure we rely on, rather than the Guidelines' printed monthly average of 3, which does not match it (Part B 10.6).
Can we use this with participants now?
No. Using Workstride with participant data first needs DEWR to accredit the Workstride system and us to hold a Third Party IT Vendor Deed, then your organisation's written approval from the Department (Part A 7.2.2).
